WAL about how plants grow and what they need to grow




My explanation of how Photosynthesis works:
Photosynthesis is about how plants grow using water, sunlight and carbon dioxide. The sunlight turns these things into sugar that helps the plant grow.

My Learning Goals

Writing

My goals are:

• Use compound sentences consistently in my writing.
• I have to check my writing into correct errors.
• Organise ideas into my draft in the correct orders.

Reading

My goals are:

• I have to continue to practice my oral reading skills, and participate fully in group work and discussion in class.
• Further develop questioning skills, as well as the ability to identify ideas not directly stated.

Maths

My goals are:

• Continue to develop his understanding of place value and all whole numbers.
• Apply basic addition facts to help solve related.

About Me

I am a Year 5 student at Tamaki Primary School in Auckland,NZ. I am in Room 6 and my teacher is Mr Craig. My favourite subject is maths because I am good in the class. My favourite food is delicious food like spaghetti and I like to run with my Mum in my spare time. In the future I want to be an All Black or a rich person or a policeman.

Happy's Mother's Day

On the weekend it was Happy Mothers Day. Me and my two brothers went to go to the shops so we could get something special for my mum, so she would be happy. So we got her a present. It was a cake and ice-cream. The ice cream was strawberry and the cake was chocolate. That is her favourite!
